The griddle shown in this pic does not come with the stove, it can be purchased separate. I tried to purchase the Coughlan griddle because it was recommended at a lower cost than the Coleman, but it slides around on the stove top and does not pack inside the stove for transport. Also, the one i purchased was warped, so i'm sending it back in exchange for the Coleman griddle.We just used the grill for the first time tonight...great stove and easy to use.
Burners put out the heat but are adjustable to simmer. We timed bringing a large spaghetti pot of room temp water to a boil, it took approx 16min. It cooked hot dogs within 5-10 on a cast iron griddle. I also purchased the 5ft hose to attach to a 20lb refillable propane tank that i use with my BBQ grill...worked great with no problems at all on first go round!!

The stove is lightweight at only 3.25 oz and is compact measuring only 3" x 4" x 3/4". When the stove is closed you can easily store 4 solid fuel tables inside the stove. The solid fuel tables are very easy and quick to light using a cheap Bic lighter. The fuel does have a "fishy" smell when burning. Each full solid fuel tablet burned for 15 minutes and it took about 7 minutes to boil a cup of water without using a lid in 32 degree temperature. The fuel tables can be cut in half or quarters if necessary. In windy conditions it is beneficial to have a windscreen to increase the effectiveness of the stove.
It was very nice to have a hot cup of tea in the middle of nowhere when I was cold. Obviously this stove is not designed for heavy duty cooking so if you are looking to cook a big meal this should not be your first choice of a stove. If you are looking to boil water for tea, hot chocolate, etc. or to heat a can of chili then this stove will work great.

This is my fourth Coleman stove, and the best. My mom had a heavy vintage 1970s coleman, a true work horse, but hard to clean.
Then I had the one burner, balance the pot on the top for backpacking, years of service, but a challenge in the wind, and I was sure it would topple over. It never did.
Last week I ordered the Coleman 3000001224 Propane 2 Burner Stove, I opened the box, checked it out and returned it, the lid does not go flat, so the burners cannot be used for a pasta or crab pot. also it did not lock. it felt cheap and light and modern.
I took my new triton camping last night, and its a wonderful improvement on the basic Coleman stove.
Pros, strong feeling without being heavy. the ignition is wonderful in damp Oregon. It so easy to start and restart the stove. the burner lifts off for cleaning. the lid can be laid flat for a crab pot.
the stove has enough room under the grate to store the extension tubing to the 2 lb tank I use.
(it takes a little wiggling, and I am careful to stay away from the ignition plugs. ) it has a lock. my coglan griddle fits perfectly, it heats up in two mins, this stove is a bad boy for fajitas and stir fry. It also simmered very well. the wind blocks are adjustable, unlike a few other stoves.
